I’m getting into the T-Shirt game because 2021 is the Year of the Side Biz.
I find images on the web, edit them in Photoshop, then add them to a t-shirt.
The first t-shirt is actually a copy of a shirt I had made for myself years ago. When I got into the Intellectual Dark Web (nerds having conversations). The skull and brain logo is a vector image I found on the web, lots of cool ideas out there.
The second t-shirt is an image of a stock photo with a grandpa walking his grandson. I learned how to turn it black (Threshold options). That t-shirt is my favourite so far.
I want to start making originals, but the stock images are a good start for a newbie in the t-shirt game.
Last night, I got an urge of inspiration and decided to look into getting print-on-demand t-shirts made.
I signed up for a free 40min webinar from Shopify on “How to Start an Online T-Shirt Business: Everything You Need to Know”.
It was informative. And after watching I was excited to start the business! But….it has a monthly cost for their service. No thanks. I’m looking for low-investment type services. Free.
I did a bit of reseach online and found this video:
The title is a bit misleading. Teespring didn’t go anywhere, it rebranded. The person who made the video says that Teespring has removed its marketplace (where you can find all the shirts and apparel for sale) and that the website has gone full Content-Creator. Which means, for example, that your shirt will be sold on your own Teespring site (or you can link to your own website).
I’m a newbie to all of this, but it sure is fun.
Have you ever sold t-shirts? What was it like? Let us know in the comments below!
